RUNNING IN THE RAIN

Running in the Rain, Toronto, Ontario

Making photographs at night, and the whole art of night and low light photography, quite often involves waiting, watching, then pouncing when the moment is right. The night this photo was made I'd originally gone out to make some images of a big thunderstorm that broke across Lake Ontario in Toronto where I live. The camera was setup on my tripod near a local tennis court when the storm eased up. Many exposures were made of this court at Kew Gardens before the runner happened by....when I saw him everything seemed aligned and I knew that I had what I was really looking for.
