THE MCGRAW ROTUNDA - NEW YORK PUBLIC LIBRARY - MANHATTAN

The McGraw Rotunda - Inside The New York Public Library - June 2013
This impressive space is set beneath arched bays, paired Corinthian walnut pilasters over 17-feet high, and striking murals by Edward Laning depicting the history of the written word with Prometheus bringing to mankind fire and knowledge stolen from the gods.

This photo is in the Stephen A. Schartzman Building located in downtown Manhattan at 5th Ave. and 42nd Street.

This is a NYC must if you love architecture and books.
