The sculpture is called "The Sky’s the Limit” by Michael Hayden.
Even though it is stunning in colour I wanted to show the visceral power it has by shooting it in black and white. It measures 744 feet long by 18 feet high by 40 feet wide, and incorporates over 23,600 square feet of mirror, reflecting 466 neon tubes that would stretch over a mile long if laid end to end.
It runs the entire length of the ceiling above two moving sidewalks, and is composed of white sections on either end with a rainbow of colors in between. It is controlled by 3 different computers cycling through various patterns and never repeats itself. Along the sides of the corridor, undulating walls with various pastel colors make for a very vibrant space.
